Our client in the aerospace industry is acquiring a manufacturing company located in the Greater Toronto Area.

To support this transition, we are seeking an Interim Controller to lead the onsite post-merger integration of financial systems and processes.

This is a high-impact role with the potential to convert into a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration of financial systems and reporting structures between the two organizations
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations during the transition
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
  • Align financial reporting processes, chart of accounts, and budgeting systems
  • Support the consolidation of financial data and assist with forecasting and variance analysis
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders
  • Identify process improvements and standardization opportunities during the integration
  • Train and support existing finance staff through the transition period


Qualifications:

  • CPA designation required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably within manufacturing or aerospace sectors
  • Prior experience with M&A or post-merger financial system integration is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills


Start: June

Duration: 3 months, possible conversion to full time employee


Time commitment: Expected 5 days per week

Location: Hybrid, with few days per week on site at client in Greater Toronto


Expected range: $75 – $90 CAD per hour
