We're a family-oriented team with global reach, working on exciting projects in <b>Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Renewables, and more. </b>Our name says it all<b>: Together We Deliver.</b><br><br>TWD is currently seeking an <b>Intermediate / Senior</b> <b>Electrical Engineer with Minerals & Metals experience </b>to join our Burlington, <b>ON</b> office. <br><br><b>What You'll Do:</b><br>The Intermediate / Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of electrical design by the electrical project teams. The role will be in charge of leading projects for the goal to successfully implement the designs developed to meet our client's requirements. The Senior Electrical Engineer oversees solutions to technical problems and is responsible for job planning and quality production. <br><br><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><li>This position requires thorough knowledge of design and engineering, electrical procurement and construction activities. </li><li>Perform electrical design and calculations in accordance with the relevant Canadian and Industrial (API, IEEE, NEC) Standards and client preferences. </li><li>Support proposal preparation, estimates, design basis, engineering estimates and construction work packages at each design phase (FEED, DBM, Detailed Engineering). </li><li>Manage projects of varying sizes within budget and schedule constraints. </li><li>Perform power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, protective device coordination and arc flash, including report writing </li><li>Design and review of engineering deliverables such as:<ul><li>Hazardous Area Classification Drawings; </li><li>Single Line diagrams, schematic and wiring diagrams; </li><li>Grounding and lighting drawings, cable/conduit/tray routing plans, substation and equipment layouts, cable schedules, panel schedules; </li><li>Equipment sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, lighting calculations; </li><li>Preparation and review of specifications, data sheets, technical bid evaluations and procurement documentation for LV/MV equipment </li><li>Review and sign off Inspection Test Plans and quality check forms </li><li>Follow up with Electrical suppliers' representative and facilitate electrical testing and commissioning at site </li><li>Respond to site RFIs based on applicable standards and electrical codes </li><li>When required, assumes a project lead role for completing specific tasks, including checking and provide technical guidance. </li><b>Qualifications:</b><li>Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree, or equivalent qualification</li><li>Minimum 5+ years experience in the Minerals & Metals.</li><li>Experience developing engineering estimates, schedules, and resource plans for electrical engineering work</li><li>Professional Engineering License in the Province of Ontario is required</li><li>Experience with design of LV, MV, and HV power distribution systems for industrial facilities is required</li><li>Experience with electrical area classifications for oil & gas facilities is required</li><li>Experience with arc flash protection and studies is required</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD and Plant3D an asset</li><li>Solid knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, codes, and requirements (CEC, ISA, NFPA)</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to perform design engineering</li><li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills</li><li>Self-starter with the ability to work independently when required</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><p>We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for everyone.
