In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for handyman duties, general building maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, and building move-in and move-out preparations. You will also complete weekly reports, respond promptly to client needs, and help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of daily building activities.</p><strong>Key Duties & Responsibilities</strong><ul><li><p><strong>Site Maintenance:</strong> Manage and supervise the site. Monitor and maintain the garbage and recycling rooms. Change light bulbs. Coordinate and supervise annual and seasonal building services and inspections.</p></li><li><p><strong>Access & Security:</strong> Handle fob and enterphone programming.</p></li><li><p><strong>Administrative Duties:</strong> Collect funds as directed, post notices, send emails, and submit caretaker reports.</p></li><li><p><strong>Property Manager Relations:</strong> Maintain consistent communication with the property manager to ensure the building is secure, well-maintained, and operating smoothly. Conduct chemical checks for the hot tub (training will be provided).</p></li><li><p><strong>Tenant Relations & Management:</strong> Respond promptly to tenant questions and requests. Report any concerning issues with tenants or residents to the property manager.</p></li><li><p><strong>Exterior Grounds:</strong> Pick up litter around the entire exterior areas of the building, including sidewalks, courtyards, and driveway ramps.</p></li><li><p><strong>Floor Care:</strong> Sweep and damp mop hard surface floors using a neutral cleaner.</p></li><li><p><strong>Entrance / Lobby / Common Areas:</strong> Clean door frames, disinfect door handles, polish entry code panels, and vacuum walk-off mats.</p></li></ul><strong>Requirements</strong><ul><li><p>Strong administrative skills</p></li><li><p>Flexibility, availability, and the ability to address requests promptly</p></li><li><p>Janitorial experience is an asset</p></li><li><p>Proven experience in janitorial, caretaker, or related fields</p></li><li><p>Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving and organizational skills</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Experience working with hot tubs or swimming pools is an asset but not required</p></li></ul><p></p><strong>Additional Requirements</strong><ul><li>Can handle move-out and move-in preparations for units<br /></li><li>Friendly, approachable personality and be comfortable interacting with residents<br /></li><li>Must have access to a reliable vehicle, as there is no nearby public transit</li></ul><strong>Job Details</strong><ul><li><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time</p></li><li><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Monday Friday</p></li><li><p><strong>Shift Timing:</strong> 8am - 4pm</p></li><li><p><strong>Start Date:</strong> February 1</p></li><li><p><strong>Salary:</strong> $20.00 per hour</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Building Manager: 1 year</p></li><li><p>Janitorial: 1 year</p></li><li><p>Handyman: 1 year</p></li></ul><p><strong>Location:</strong> West Vancouver<br /></p><p><strong>Why Work at Cleantech?<br /></strong><br />Join a team that values your growth, rewards your hard work, and invests in your future.
