If you are committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to, and grow, as part of a hard-working, enthusiastic and innovative team, this opportunity is for you.</p><p>Working primarily within Black & McDonald's existing client base in the Greater Hamilton area, the Junior Project Coordinator position is focused around supporting the plumbing and electrical department through safety & quality assurance activities, reporting, document creation & management, estimating support, project support and client coordination. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks effectively.</p><p><strong>General duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage the Cross Connection Control (Backflow Prevention), Thermogragphy (IR) and High-Voltage preventative maintenance programs. Including collecting data from the field, ensuring accuracy, updating reports and interaction with the relevant client or AHJ (authority holding jurisdiction) for <span >submission/feedback.</span></li><li>Suggest and champion improvements for PM programs, including utilization of new technologies for efficiency, analysis and improved accuracy.</li><li>Assist Department Manager, Field Team Leads, and service coordinators with coordination and support of labour, service call prioritization, and scheduling of Preventative Maintenance and Projects.</li><li>Coordinate with project team and service coordinators on upcoming project work, to ensure required resources, internally (peers, operations, manpower, field technicians, etc.) & externally (clients, suppliers, sub-contractors, consultants, authorities, etc.) are available.</li><li>Assist project representatives, project managers and field team leads to ensure sold projects are delivered & executed safely, to quality standards and in a timely manner while keeping within scope and budget.</li><li>Work with Operations team on proactive recommendations for clients, and help prepare technician recommendation estimates (#4s) and client facing documents</li><li>Assist with/perform requisition of purchase orders, invoicing, insurance certificates, prepare notice of project, Form1000's and other authority requirements (e.g. ESA, TSSA, MoL).</li><li>Collaborate with external contractors and service providers to obtain quotes, schedule repairs, and ensure work is completed to high standards.</li><li>Attend client/project sites as required to verify/execute work, liaise with clients/other divisions, support sales or client initiatives</li><li>Analyse available information & data to help prepare client improvement strategies help identify gaps & opportunities (client reviews)</li><li>Responsible for solving problems and/or conflicts in a professional manner while maintaining open and timely communication with the customer.</li><li>Preparation & management of project/technical documentation sales, execution schedules, project close-out, equipment list updates, drawings/layouts, etc.</li><li>Create & update drawings to assist with client asset management, as-built records and project sales</li><li>Assemble safety boards, assist with safety plans & monitoring of related safety activity</li><li>Assemble & prepare presentations through Microsoft PowerPoint</li><li>Photo documentation & management</li><li>Assist with asset management, labeling, planning</li><li>Attend regular service sales & safety meetings</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Change orientation</li><li>Advanced multi-tasking skills</li><li>Continuous Learning</li><li>Customer Focus</li><li>Holds Self and Others Accountable</li><li>Problem Solving and Innovation </li><li>Teamwork and Collaboration</li><li>Values and Respects Others</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p>Post Secondary degree or diploma in any of the following or similar fields:</p><ul><li><span >Mechanical/Electrical</span> engineering, Energy systems & sustainability, </li><li>Construction & project management</li><li>Technical trade(s) HVAC/R, Electrician, Plumber, etc.</li></ul><p><strong>WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>1-3 years' experience in a related field is an asset</li><li>Knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC/R an asset</li><li>Security clearance requirements including criminal background check </li></ul><p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p><ul><li>Southwest Ontario Oakville (Halton) up to Orangeville, East of Woodstock, South to Niagara/Fort Erie</li><li>Driving in this region to get to/from relevant sites</li><li>Office desk/computer, meeting rooms, back shop, sea containers</li><li>Home remote working, computer</li><li>Client sites mechanical rooms, process areas, roofs, warehouses, office spaces, classrooms, meeting halls, etc.</li><li>Supplier facilities parts, material pick-ups, warehouses, shops</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>General knowledge of the built environment <span >(building/facility/process)</span> mechanical, heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, energy systems including related standards & good practice</li><li>Proficient knowledge & understanding of organization & time management ability to manage several activities concurrently often with tight timelines</li><li>Organized and detail oriented; able to manage multiple priorities effectively</li><li>Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment</li><li>Ability to be assertive while maintaining diplomacy and political awareness.</li><li>Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges</li><li>Strong communications skills, both written and verbal</li><li>Proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through.</li><li>Valid G drivers license and willing/able to travel throughout Southwestern Ontario</li><li>Proficient user of Office 365 software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)</li></ul><p>Black & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
