<p>TD Securities seeks a hands‑on Lead Engineer/Development Manager to design and develop a scalable, resilient, high‑performing P&L reporting platform for Risk Analysts, Front Office Traders and Senior Executives. This role involves leading an engineering team, solving production issues, driving automation, and ensuring timely, high‑quality deliverables.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead the team to deliver high quality software and help the business run more efficiently.</li>
<li>Manage multiple streams and follow proper code promotion processes.</li>
<li>Manage lower development environments and ensure environment stability.</li>
<li>Conduct design and code reviews to ensure software quality.</li>
<li>Reverse engineer legacy code, optimize performance, and address system bottlenecks.</li>
<li>Analyze production issues and provide permanent solutions.</li>
<li>Promote best practices and continuous integration/delivery.</li>
<li>Drive transformation by automating existing processes and improving data quality.</li>
<li>Explore new capabilities and technologies to drive innovation.</li>

<li>5+ years enterprise Spring tech stack; building microservices with Spring Boot.</li>
<li>3+ years Scala/Spark experience.</li>
<li>Strong Hadoop, Spark, Parquet or similar Big Data technologies.</li>
<li>Proficient in Linux environments.</li>
<li>Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.</li>
<li>Experience with messaging technologies (Kafka).</li>
<li>Strong SQL and experience with non‑relational databases such as Cassandra.</li>
<li>Git, CI/CD (Maven, Jenkins) in Agile environments.</li>
<li>Knowledge of design patterns and best practices.</li>
<li>Experience developing and managing highly scalable, latency‑critical systems.</li>
<li>Passion for delivering high‑quality products, simplifying work, and promoting efficiency.</li>
</ul>
