<br><br><p>The Extruder Operator lead hand position has become available at our client site in Vaughan, ON. This is a 12-hour continental (day/night) shift position.</p><p>DUTIES:</p><p>1. Work in a safe and efficiently manner, according to company policies.<br>2. Set-up and troubleshooting Extruder machine.<br>3. Set up & apply texture and coating line during product changes. This includes:<br>downloading the queued recipe, physically installing the texture and coating equipment required as per the recipe. (Reports the changeover effectiveness)<br>4. Sets raw material and scrap return feed rates.<br>5. Sets additive feed rates <br>6. Monitors vacuum chamber for over-feeding.<br>7. Monitors extrusion and pugging parameters for consistency and adjusts if required.<br>8. Monitors Dust Collector and associated ducting.<br>9. Continually inspects all visible portions of products for color/texture variance.<br>10. Reject any defective product and make proper adjustments to the machine.<br>11. Preventative maintenance of mthe achine. (Replace wear parts)<br>12. Actively supports other crew members in training and operations.<br>13. Reports Maintenance requests to the Production Supervisor or Production Lead Hand.<br>14. Communicate & work as a team with other operators.<br>15. Actively participates in maintenance shutdowns scheduled or unscheduled, when required by the Production Supervisor or Production Lead Hand.<br>16. Follow the Company Quality System and Work Instructions.<br>17. Maintains a clean and safe work area at all times & participates in 5S program.</p><ul><li>And any other duties as required by the Production Supervisor or Production Lead Hand., when the need arises.</li></ul><p>SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE<br><br>Plastic manufacturing experience would be an asset.<br>General understanding of control systems<br>Mechanical aptitude<br>Valid Lift Truck Certification<br>Able to lift heavy materials.</p><p>EDUCATION</p><p>High School Diploma</p><br>
