Senior Front-End Developer / Full Stack Engineer
About The Role
A fast-moving startup backed by top-tier investors, focused on building AI driven solutions is looking for their next hire. The lean and driven team thrives on solving meaningful problems, delivering real customer value, and iterating quickly. They are looking for a Senior Front-End Developer / Full Stack Engineer who brings deep technical expertise and a startup mindset to help take our product to the next level

What You’ll Do:
- Lead development of high-impact features across the front end and full stack, with a focus on front-end work
- Build intuitive, responsive UIs using React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Bootstrap)Develop scalable APIs and backend logic using Node.js and Express)
- Integrate and design RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Work closely with product and design to turn ideas into polished user experiences
- Contribute to architecture, performance optimization, and code quality standards
- Mentor junior engineers and help shape our development practices and culture
Tech stackFront End: React, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS / Bootstrap Back
End:Node.js, Express APIs: REST,
- Graph SQLDatabases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB (SQL & NosTooling Git, Webpack/Vite, Docker
- (nice to have), CI/CD tool
- Cloud: AWS, Vercel, or similar (optional but valuable)
What We’re Looking For
- Around 7+ years of professional development experience, including some leadership experience
- Deep expertise in JavaScript, React, TypeScript
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
- Experience using modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind, Bootstrap, or similar
- Familiarity with building and consuming REST and GraphQLA
- Comfortable across the stack, particularly with Node.js and Express
- Product-oriented mindset with experience working in startup environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive, ownership-driven attitude-you thrive in fast-moving teams
Nice to Have
- Exposure to testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress)
- Familiarity with cloud deployments (AWS, Vercel)

Base Salary: CAD 180K-190K + equity
