<b>Legal Assistant – Real Estate Law<br></b><br>
Contribute to a structured legal environment within the insurance industry, supporting real estate law professionals. Partial remote work, diverse responsibilities, bilingual position, in a collaborative and engaging setting.<br>

<b>Responsibilities:</b><b><br></b>
<br>
<br>• Edit, transcribe, and format a variety of legal and administrative documents.<br>
<br>• Compare documents using specialized tools (e.g., Litera Compare).<br>
<br>• Manage calendar, calls, emails, and reminders for the legal professional.<br>
<br>• Coordinate travel bookings, meeting rooms, meals, and event logistics.<br>
<br>• Open, organize, archive, and update client files.<br>
<br>• Handle monthly billing, expense accounts, and time entry follow-ups.<br>
<br>• Prepare check requests, bank transfers, and conflict searches.<br>
<br>• Provide cross-functional support to other assistants, interns, articling students, or departments as needed.<br>
<br>• Assist with tasks related to internal or external committees.<br>
<br>• Administer oaths for lawyers and clients.<br>
<br>
<b>What you will need to succeed:</b><b><br></b>
<br>
<br>• Diploma in legal secretarial studies or equivalent.<br>
<br>• 7 years of experience in a private law firm, ideally supporting partners.<br>
<br>• In-depth knowledge of legal procedures and practices.<br>
<br>• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written), to interact with internal and external clients across Canada and internationally, as part of daily communications and administrative tasks.<br>
<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>
<br>• Initiative, autonomy, and ability to work with minimal supervision.<br>
<br>• Proficiency in common office software.<br>
<br>• Strong verbal and written communication skills.<br>
<br>• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.<br>
