<ul><li>Legal Assistant - Real Estate<br><br> Downtown Toronto </li></ul><p>Our client, a well established and highy regarded law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto is hiring. They are looking for a Real Estate Legal Assistant to join its team. </p><p>In this role the Real Estate Assistant is responsible for (but not limited to) accurate and efficient processing of general administrative tasks within the real estate department.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Provide legal assistant support creating documents and correspondence through transcription and copy-typing, making revisions as necessary</li><li>Provide administrative support which include (but not limited to) completing expense reports, courier forms, file opening forms, photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing and creation of file folders</li><li>Professionally interact with all firm members and clients</li><li>Photocopy and/or organize documents for distribution, mailing and binding</li><li>Prepare and generate pre-bills for monthly billing, as needed</li><li>Organize, maintain and accurately file correspondence, invoices and receipts via paper and digital formats</li><li>Assist with special projects as required. Other duties as assigned.<br><br>Requirements: </li><li>Legal Assistant Diploma from an accredited institution.</li><li>5 plus experience working within the real estate practice area in a law firm and condo experience is a must.</li><li>Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities, while respecting tight deadlines.</li><li>Possesses well developed verbal and written communication skills. Able to work with a variety of individuals providing quality service at all times.</li><li>Operates with a high degree of accuracy and has strong attention to detail.</li><li>Takes initiative and possesses well-developed organizational and time management skills.</li><li>A team player, with the ability to build relationships and provide strong customer service.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)</li><li>Solid transcription and proofreading skills</li><li>Ability to work independently, following instructions with minimal supervision</li><li>Proficiency using Teraview and Conveyancer is an asset.</li><li>Hands on with experience with pre-billing administration (preferably 3E)</li><li>Familiarity working within a DMS system is an asset.</li><li>If you are looking to join a friendly team of professionals look no further</li><li>We thank all applicants for their interest in this role.
