<p><h3>Summary of Duties</h3>
<p>Reporting to the Deputy City Manager, Legal Services, the Legal Counsel I position acts as a solicitor, counsel and advisor to The Corporation of the City of London on legal matters.</p>
<h3>Focus: Land Use Planning, Development and Expropriations</h3>
<p>The work will primarily involve legal opinions, drafting agreements, and advising on land use planning, development agreements, and expropriation matters.</p>
<h3>Qualifications/Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Laws Degree and membership in good standing in the Law Society of Ontario.</li>
<li>Three to five years of experience, preferably in Municipal Law.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Compensation Range/Other Information</h3>
<p>$117,273 - $153,831</p>
<p>This posting is for one (1) permanent full-time position being filled on a temporary full-time, up to 2 years basis.</p>
<h3>Current Hours of Work</h3>
<p>Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.</p>
<h3>Work Arrangement</h3>
<p>Hybrid. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.</p>
