<p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.</li><li>Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring that all dishes meet quality expectations.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.</li><li>Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times.</li><li>Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.</li><li>Perform inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.</li><li>Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional service to guests.</li><li>Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation.</li><li>Must be willing to cross train in all positions and ability to learn and cook all menu items.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Line Cook or Prep Cook within the restaurant or catering industry.</li><li>Familiarity with dietary department practices or experience as a dietary aide is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and fine dining standards.</li><li>Excellent food handling skills with an emphasis on safety and sanitation practices.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Experience with menu planning and creativity in dish presentation is desirable.</li><li>Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
