About the Company:
Our client, a well-established and respected law firm located in Toronto, is seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is looking to work with a collaborative, high-performing group of lawyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a broad range of civil litigation files with minimal supervision.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, factums, and correspondence.
- Represent clients in all stages of litigation including discoveries, mediations, motions, pre-trials, and court hearings.
- Provide strategic legal advice and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
- Conduct legal research and stay current with changes in relevant legislation and case law.
Qualifications:
- Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 4+ years of post-call experience in Civil Litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario court procedures and civil practice rules.
- Proven ability to manage files independently.
- Excellent advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Organized, responsive, and able to manage competing deadlines.
