<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Our Toronto boutique law firm client acts for Canada's largest financial institutions. They are growing rapidly and seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join their disputes team which handles: debt recovery and enforcement, commercial insolvency, mortgage remedies, forged instruments, fraud recovery, and priority disputes. <br><br></p><p>The Role: Matters include recovery actions <span >(secured/unsecured),</span> mortgage enforcement & power of sale, receiverships and CCAA/BIA issues, fraudulent conveyances, negotiable <span >instruments/forgery</span> claims.<br><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Manage files end-to-end: strategy, pleadings, motions, discoveries, mediations, trials/appeals.</li><li>Draft and argue motions (including summary judgment, security/priority relief, injunctions).</li><li>Advise institutional clients on risk, recovery strategy, and cost-effective resolution.</li><li>Work closely with partners and associates.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li>At least 2 years of litigation experience (commercial, banking/insolvency or civil).</li><li>Comfortable in court; strong written advocacy and drafting.</li><li>Proven file management and client communication skills.</li><li>Asset: experience with BIA/CCAA, fraud/forgery, PPSA/priority issues, mortgage enforcement.</li><li>Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.<br><br></li></ul><p><strong>Compensation</strong>: $90-110k, Benefits, vacation, sick days, indoor parking</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
