ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Labour Relations Manager, you will play a key role in driving Sephora Canada’s labour relations strategy, fostering a positive workplace culture and maximizing the potential of our people. Acting as a trusted expert, you’ll collaborate with HR, Employee Relations, Legal, and business leaders to identify labour risks, shape workplace programs, and deliver impactful training. Your proactive approach will ensure compliance with labour laws and align employee feedback with meaningful action, creating a supportive and thriving environment for all.



WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Champion a positive employee experience by executing proactive labour relations strategies that foster engagement, build leadership capability, and resolve issues with care
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and Operations leaders to identify and address workplace trends and risks through audits, assessments, and thoughtful insights
  • Act as a trusted advisor on policy interpretation, compliance, and best practices—ensuring alignment with labour laws and Sephora’s values
  • Monitor evolving labour trends and legislation, providing expert guidance to keep our practices current and people-focused
  • Design and deliver engaging training for leaders to strengthen communication, boost engagement, and embed labour relations priorities
  • Support operational readiness during complex or time-sensitive situations with strategic planning and calm execution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to assess the impact of policy and program changes on our workforce and recommend thoughtful adjustments
  • Contribute to collective bargaining and contract administration when needed, always with a collaborative and respectful approach
  • Build strong relationships with field leaders to stay connected to team morale, engagement, and emerging needs

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Labour Relations, Human Resources, Law, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in Labour Relations or HR, with a focus on union avoidance and providing impactful field support
  • Expertise in Labour laws and regulatory compliance to ensure strategic and informed decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex situations and achieve meaningful outcomes across diverse stakeholders
  • Exceptional training, facilitation, and presentation abilities to engage and inspire teams effectively
  • Outstanding negotiation and conflict resolution skills that foster positive resolutions and partnerships
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to uncover valuable insights from large datasets
  • Highly organized and capable of handling multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • A natural communicator, able to adapt messaging to resonate with different audiences
  • An adaptable and proactive team player who leads by example and inspires those around them
  • The drive to excel and thrive in a vibrant and ever-changing environment
  • Commitment to embodying Sephora’s core values, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • An unwavering commitment to integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Bilingual in English and French is a strong asset
  • Willingness to travel to support a diverse geography of retail locations—up to 50% travel expected
