The Opportunity
Position: Tax Manager

Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience in corporate or indirect tax, with a willingness to learn US and international tax. Interest in broadening expertise across all areas of tax.
Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact
Prepare tax returns and information requests supporting Canadian, US, and international compliance, including sales, non-resident, corporate income tax, foreign reporting, and tax elections.
Assist in tax cash flow budgeting and forecasting.
Help prepare internal transfer pricing documentation.
Coordinate with foreign tax advisors to meet obligations.
Track and respond to tax assessments and notices.
Prepare tax provisions and reconciliations under Canadian GAAP (ASPE).
Work on SRED claims and monthly tax account reconciliations.
Conduct tax research and resolve VAT issues.
Process HST payments using bank systems.
Collaborate with CRA auditors for audits.
Perform other related duties.
Qualifications
Four-year university degree in accounting or equivalent.
Canadian accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) or working towards it.
Strong Excel skills; intermediate proficiency in other MS Office tools.
4-6 years’ experience in public accounting or a multinational tax department.
Experience with Canadian/US corporate tax returns, foreign reporting, and tax provisions under ASPE.
Willingness to learn Canadian and US sales tax; experience with SAP preferred.
CPA In-depth tax program enrollment or completion is an asset.
