We’re looking for a Material Manager in the construction and services industry.

Our client is undergoing an operational shift and is excited to add a detail-oriented and systems-savvy individual to lead their materials and inventory function. This is a significant opportunity for someone who thrives in implementation and process improvement. The Material Manager will be responsible for inventory oversight, vendor coordination, purchase order management, and ERP implementation while supporting collaboration across yard staff and finance.

Material Manager responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage ERP inventory and cost-tracking systems (CMAC or CMiC)
  • Oversee physical inventory accuracy and ensure discrepancies are resolved
  • Manage vendor relationships from onboarding through to invoicing and payments
  • Collaborate with finance and leadership to align purchasing with budgets and project needs
  • Enforce company-wide protocols for procurement, servicing, and material handling
  • Coordinate with yard staff for deliveries, returns, and equipment servicing
  • Approve and track purchase orders and validate against project scopes
  • Support invoice reconciliation and cost coding
  • Recommend procedural improvements for supply chain and material flow
  • Communicate updates and inventory performance to leadership regularly

The successful candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience in supply chain and inventory management systems
  • Experience with ERP platforms and digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to think analytically
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments including yard and finance
  • Comfort working in a growing company that values innovation and process efficiency

  • Compensation and benefits:


    • The discussed salary range is $90,000 – $115,000, depending on experience
