Job Title: Mechanical Site ManagerLocation: SouthamptonContract Length: 8 WeeksStart Date: 1st JuneCompany: Global Facilities Management ProviderRate: £280.00 a day (CIS/Umbrella)Overview:We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Site Manager to join a leading global FM provider on a high-profile project based in Southampton.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected name in the industry, overseeing mechanical works across a live site for an initial 8-week period, with potential for extension.Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day mechanical operations and manage subcontractors on-site
* Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and in line with project specifications
* Conduct site inspections, monitor quality standards, and ensure compliance with H&S regulations
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
* Review method statements, risk assessments, and site documentation
* Attend and lead site progress meetingsRequirements:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within the FM, M&E, or construction sector
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems and building services
* SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain high safety standards
