Braemar College, a private secondary school in the heart of downtown Toronto, is seeking a friendly, organized, and service-oriented Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic team.
As the first point of contact for students, families, and visitors, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations, supporting various departments, and helping create a welcoming and professional environment for our international student community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and direct students, staff, and visitors
- Handle front desk duties and ensure the reception area is organized and secure
- Respond to phone, email and WhatsApp inquiries and provide general school information
- Schedule appointments and support course registration each term
- Assist with student onboarding and orientation days
- Support departments, including Guidance, Finances, and the Office of the Director
- Issue documents (e.g., certificates, transcripts, custodianship forms) and coordinate mail
- Manage textbook inventory
- Create and manage content for the school’s Instagram and TikTok
- Perform clerical tasks (data entry, filing, etc.)
What We’re Looking For:
- Enthusiastic, approachable, and self-directed
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CRM.
- Accountability, taking full responsibility for assigned roles.
- Fluent in English (a second language is a plus)
- Prior experience in an administrative or school office environment (1–2 years)
- College diploma or university degree
