With a strong presence in North America, <b><strong>Stobag North America</strong></b> combines Swiss engineering, precision manufacturing, and local production to deliver customized solutions that meet the needs of our Canadian and U.S. markets.</p><p>We offer competitive compensation, a collaborative and safety-focused work environment, and opportunities for professional development within an internationally respected brand.</p><p>Job Overview</p><p>Reporting to the<b><strong> Chief</strong></b> <b><strong>Operation Manager</strong></b>, the <b><strong>Operation Manager is a full-time, </strong></b>on-site position (5 days per week), based at our North American manufacturing facility.</p><p>The Production Planner is responsible for <b><strong>planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities</strong></b> to ensure efficient use of resources while meeting customer demand, quality standards, and delivery commitments. This role works closely with <b><strong>Purchasing, Customer Service, Production, and Supply Chain partners</strong></b>, both locally and internationally.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Plan, schedule, and release production orders to the shop floor in alignment with customer demand and capacity</li><li>Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address changes, constraints, or priorities</li><li>Communicate production plans, timelines, and schedule changes to internal stakeholders</li><li>Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components</li><li>Submit, track, and follow up on purchase orders with approved vendors and suppliers</li><li>Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers to support production requirements</li><li>Maintain accurate production, inventory, and material planning data within the ERP system</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction</li><li>Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects</li><li>Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, company policies, and environmental regulations</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul><p>Qualifications & Requirements</p><ul><li>Minimum <b><strong>2 years of experience</strong></b> in production planning, manufacturing coordination, or supply chain operations</li><li>Experience working with <b><strong>ERP/MRP systems</strong></b> (SAP experience considered an asset)</li><li>Strong proficiency in <b><strong>Microsoft Excel</strong></b>; working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint</li><li>Solid understanding of <b><strong>inventory management and material planning</strong></b></li><li>Knowledge of <b><strong>lean manufacturing principles</strong></b> and continuous improvement methodologies</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team</li><li>Adaptable and flexible, with strong interpersonal skills in a diverse work environment</li><li>Experience in a <b><strong>manufacturing or assembly environment</strong></b> preferred</li></ul></p>Company Description<p>Stobag North America Corporation is part of the global STOBAG Group, a leading provider of premium shading systems, awnings, pergolas, and weather protection solutions.
