And our teams are constantly pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo in pursuit of a brighter future.</p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>The Operations Partner is a critical logistical role essential to Bird&#39;s success in Hamilton. You will take responsibility for the logistics of the local fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring they are charged, safe, and positioned correctly to meet the community&#39;s transportation needs.</p><p>We are looking for entrepreneurial individuals or logistics businesses ready to hit the ground running. Whether you are a solo operator with a single van or a fleet owner capable of deploying multiple drivers, you can scale this partnership to fit your capacity.</p><p>You will have the flexibility to choose how you operate:</p><ul><li>Maximize earnings by securing your own space <span >(warehouse/facility)</span> to charge vehicles overnight.</li><li>Streamline operations by simply retrieving and transporting vehicles to our central warehouse.</li></ul><p>This is a pay-per-task opportunity where earnings are directly tied to output. With an hourly range between $20-$30 per hour.</p><p><strong>Important Details About the Role:</strong></p><ul><li>This is an independent contractor position, not an employee role.</li><li>You are responsible for your own tools, equipment, and any associated expenses required to complete your work.</li><li>As an independent contractor, you manage your own schedule and workload to meet the operational needs of Bird.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Fleet Transportation: </strong>Utilize your vehicle(s) or fleet to collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes across Hamilton daily.</li><li><strong>Task-Based Operations (Choose your model):</strong></li><ul><li><strong>Retrieve & Charge (Highest Margin): </strong>Collect vehicles, charge them at your own secured facility, and deploy them the next morning.</li><li><strong>Retrieve & Drop-off: </strong>Collect vehicles and transport them to the local Bird warehouse for charging.</li></ul><li><strong>Operational Management: </strong>Manage the end-to-end operation of your assigned portfolio, ensuring vehicles are available in high-demand areas.</li><li><strong>Maintenance & Quality:</strong> Perform light field checks to ensure vehicles are safe and environmentally friendly.</li><li><strong>Field Execution:</strong> Problem-solve in real-time to overcome obstacles, prioritize tasks, and navigate local geography efficiently.</li></ul><p><strong>Must Haves</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Vehicle Access (Required): </strong>Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes. Fleet owners with multiple vehicles/drivers are encouraged to apply.</li><li><strong>Storage Space (Asset): </strong>Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for maximizing earnings (allows for overnight charging).</li><li><strong>License: </strong>Valid Class 5 Driver&#39;s License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers.</li><li><strong>Physical Ability: </strong>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; must be able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment.</li><li><strong>Availability: </strong>Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends.</li><li><strong>Tech-Savvy: </strong>Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet.</li><li><strong>Local Knowledge: </strong>Strong knowledge of Hamilton&#39;s local geography.</li></ul><p></p><strong>Why Bird Matters</strong><p>Every time you hop on a Bird, you&#39;re helping build a more livable city.
