<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Optical Applications Engineer (Remote)<br><br>Job Description:<br><br>Avantier Inc., a premium high-precision custom optics manufacturer and innovative imaging solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Optical Applications Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-precision custom optical solutions to clients across industries such as AR/VR, Life Sciences, Biomedical, Aerospace, and more.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br><br><ul><li>Lead optical design and engineering efforts for new customer projects.</li><li>Collaborate with customers, the Sales team, and Sales Engineers to drive project success.</li><li>Assist the Sales team during technical calls with engineers.</li><li>Review and interpret customer optical systems using Zemax.</li><li>Develop and manage the production of marketing materials (online, electronic, video, and print).</li><li>Create and deliver training materials for the Sales team and onboard new engineering team members.</li><li>Work closely with the marketing team on product launches and existing product enhancements.</li><li>Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li></ul>Requirements:<br><br><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in optical engineering, opto-mechanical systems, optical assembly, or optical metrology.</li><li>Expertise in optical lens fabrication, plastic optical materials, complex optical system designs, and tolerance analyses.</li><li>Proficiency in sequential and non-sequential ray tracing.</li><li>Strong knowledge of optical simulation software such as Zemax, CodeV, or LightTools.</li><li>Proven ability to perform comprehensive system-level performance analyses and develop detailed optical system specifications.</li><li>Deep understanding of the complete production lifecycle, from design to manufacturing.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul>Education:<br><br><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree (Required)<br /><ul><li>Major: Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.<br><br></li></ul></li><li>Minimum Experience: 5 years of hands-on experience in optical design, product development, or applications engineering.</li></ul>Required Skills:<br><br><ul><li>Experience with Zemax, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li></ul><br /><p>This is a remote position.</p></p></p>
