<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Application Deadline: January 20, 2026</strong></p><p><strong>Position Title</strong>:</p><p>2 Part-Time Direct Support Professional(s) - Adult Supported Group Living Services (Cherry)</p><p><strong>Nature of Position</strong>:</p><p>We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate(s) will be tasked with providing a variety of personalized supports for individuals who currently reside in our Adult Supported Group Living Services. This role requires a commitment to work an hour base of 38-58 hours per pay period (bi-weekly), ensuring the highest quality of care and support is provided to our residents.</p><p>The candidate will have proven experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours. Applicants must have hands-on experience working with Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and be confident implementing positive behaviour support strategies in line with the person's needs.</p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong> $23.38 - $25.77 hourly</p><p><strong>Hours and Availability:</strong></p><p>This part-time position entails 38-58 hours scheduled bi-weekly, covering weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, availability for pick-up of additional support hours when required is expected.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties Include, but are not Limited to:</strong></p><p><strong>Case Management and House/Team Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with task assignments and contextual work explanation under the direction of the Team Lead.</li><li>Aid individuals in financial matters such as annual budget planning and tax preparation.</li><li>Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Person-Centered Plans (PCP).</li><li>Facilitate medication setup and reconciliation on a weekly basis.</li><li>Conduct home inspections and ensure compliance with regulations and agency policies.</li></ul><p><strong>Client Service:</strong></p><ul><li>Foster client-centered approaches to encourage skill development, self-determination, and community inclusion.</li><li>Provide personal care with respect for individual dignity and preferences.</li><li>Implement program activities and goals while networking within the community for inclusion opportunities.</li></ul><p><strong>Communication:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders through various formats.</li><li>Provide positive feedback to clients, supervisors, and external parties.</li><li>Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>Teamwork:</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace environment.</li><li>Participate in team meetings and share information for consistency of care.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality and Standards of Performance:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure safety, security, and wellness of clients and colleagues.</li><li>Adhere to all applicable legislation and contribute to identifying areas for improvement.</li><li>Participate in ongoing professional development and training.</li></ul><p><strong>Behavioral Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Advocating for Others (Level 3) – Calculates impact of actions or words;</li><li>Collaboration (Level 3) – Encourages others;</li><li>Creative Problem Solving & Decision Making (Level 3) – Understands and acts on basic relationships;</li><li>Fostering Independence in Others (Level 3) – Delegates;</li><li>Initiative (Level 3) - Thinks and plans ahead;</li><li>Interpersonal Relations & Respect (Level 3) – Effectively uses empathy;</li><li>Resilience (Level 4) – Delivers results with a high level of consistency over a long period of time.</li><li>Threshold Competencies: Flexibility; Values and Ethics; Self-Control; and Service Orientation.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Knowledge:</strong></p><ul><li>General educational background, usually equivalent to a Grade XII high school education.</li><li>A relevant 2-year Community College Diploma, related University Degree or equivalent experience in the field is considered an asset.</li><li>Experience in the social services field, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities is considered an asset.</li><li>Police clearance with vulnerable sector screening.</li><li>A valid G driver's license and insurable by the agency’s insurance company.</li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to respond to individual needs and crisis situations in a calm, productive manner.</li><li>Well-developed organizational and communication skills are essential.</li><li>Experience working with and following Behaviour Support Plans (BSP’s) is a necessity.</li><li>Must be available to work, days, evenings, sleep shifts, weekends, and, must be committed to be available for call in shifts.</li></ul><p></p><p>Thank you in advance for your interest in this current vacancy.
