<p>Overview:<br><br>We are looking for a dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team and work in one of our Long-Term Care facilities in the Stouffville Area. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and possess the necessary skills to provide essential support to individuals in need.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming</li><li>Provide companionship and emotional support to clients</li><li>Help with meal preparation and medication administration</li><li>Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment</li><li>Support clients with mobility issues and assist with heavy lifting when necessary</li><li>Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of clients</li></ul><p>Skills:</p><ul><li>Prior experience in working at Long-term care facility or nursing home settings is required</li><li>Ability to administer medications following prescribed guidelines</li><li>Knowledge on how to use POC/PCC Documentation.</li><li>Knowledge on how to us mobility machineries such as transfer lifts or hoyer lifts.</li><li>Proficiency in providing dementia care and managing related behaviors.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction</li><li>Capability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the role</li><li>Capability of using mobility and transfer lifts</li><li>Knowledge of home care procedures and best practices for patient support</li></ul><p>COMPLETE DOCUMENTS:</p><ul><li>NACC certificate</li><li>Vulnerable Screening Check (6 months valid)</li><li>First Aid/CPR Certificate</li><li>Mask Fit Test</li><li>COVID 19 vaccination record</li><li>Immunization records</li><li>TB Clearance</li></ul><p>Shifts available:</p><ul><li>6am-2pm</li><li>2pm-10pm</li><li>10pm-6am</li></ul><p>How to Apply:</p><ul><li>Send your PSW Certificate and your Resume to our email address: Successful candidates will be contacted.</li><li>Join our team as a Support Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
