<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Pipelayer - Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Pipelayer to work on underground utility projects located in Saskatchewan. We offer competitive wages, matching RRSP program, health & dental benefits, work / life balance, great opportunity for advancement, and safety training.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Installation of water, storm and sanitary pipe</li><li>Follow the established grade for water, storm and sanitary pipe</li><li>Work closely with mainline operator and top man to ensure efficient flow and production</li><li>Provide a high degree of clear communication with operators, top man and workers in the ditch to maintain safe operations and quality installation</li><li>Continuous assessment of risk and implementation of required controls / mitigations</li><li>Complete site documentation as required</li><li>Participate in inspections and incidents - address deficiencies / issues through corrective actions</li><li>Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity</li></ul><h3>Required Skills</h3><ul><li>3+ years of pipelayer experience is required</li><li>Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is an asset</li><li>Ability to read blueprints</li><li>High attention to detail and management of quality specifications</li><li>Safety conscious</li><li>Strong understanding of pipe installation process and flow logistics</li><li>Competent in the use of various rigging techniques and mechanisms</li><li>Able to work independently and follow instruction from the foreman</li><li>Able to support other positions as needed</li><li>Strong communication skills – provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail</li><li>Ability to mentor workers for advancement</li><li>Physically capable of performing heavy manual labour</li><li>Consistent, reliable and always show up for work fit for duty</li></ul><h3>Required Certifications</h3><ul><li>CSTS 2020</li><li>WHMIS 2015</li><li>Ground Disturbance Level 2</li><li>Confined Space</li><li>Fall Protection is an asset</li></ul></p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
