Job Title: Project Manager II
Location: Edmonton, AB (Hybrid – Mon, Tue, Thu onsite)
Contract: 12 months with potential extension
Role Overview:
The Project Manager II provides multi-project support, ensuring technical excellence, cost control, schedule adherence, and contractual compliance. This role supports project set-up and execution for both maintenance and capital enhancement projects while ensuring corporate and client standards are followed.
Experience & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technology Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
- CAPM, PMP, CET/RET, or P.Eng. designation considered an asset.
- 3–7 years of detailed design and/or project management experience (EPC experience in Alberta is highly beneficial).
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of engineering design flow between clients and engineering firms.
- Knowledge of industrial automation and control equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Support execution of assigned projects across Canada & US, ensuring cost-effective delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and teams to understand project scope, contracts, and drawings.
- Ensure adherence to corporate and client project standards.
- Report on engineering and project progress against budget and schedule.
- Coordinate purchased materials and ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
- Support project documentation, including operating manuals, guidelines, and KPIs.
- Organize and lead internal and client project meetings.
- Provide project closeout, administrative support, and business development assistance as needed.
- Be available during construction/commissioning for off-hours support regarding technical, cost, safety, and environmental issues.
