<p>Our client, a well-established civil construction firm with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure, deep excavations, and shoring projects, is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join their team in Surrey, BC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the pre-construction/estimating side and the project delivery side of deep excavation and shoring work.</p><p> </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Manage the full project lifecycle for deep excavation and shoring projects from tender through closeout.</li><li>Prepare detailed estimates, quantities, and pricing for deep excavation, shoring, and related civil scopes.</li><li>Lead tender submissions, including takeoffs, subcontractor and supplier inquiries, and bid reviews.</li><li>Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking.</li><li>Oversee project execution in collaboration with field teams, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.</li><li>Coordinate with engineers, clients, and subcontractors on design details, temporary works, and construction methodologies.</li><li>Prepare and manage RFIs, change orders, progress claims, and project documentation.</li><li>Participate in site meetings, safety meetings, and progress reviews.</li></ul><p> </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Ideal Candidate Requirements:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><ul><li>5 or more years of experience in civil construction with proven experience on deep excavation and/or shoring projects.</li><li>Experience in both estimating and project management roles, ideally within a self-perform civil or foundations contractor.</li><li>Strong understanding of shoring systems, temporary works, excavation support, and related construction methodologies.</li><li>Proficiency with MS Office; experience with estimating and project management software is an asset.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and geotechnical drawings and specifications.</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.</li><li>Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple bids and projects.</li></ul><p> </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Why This Firm:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package.</li><li>5% DPSP.</li><li>3 weeks vacation.</li><li>Support toward obtaining professional designations such as P.Eng, Gold Seal, or other relevant certifications.</li><li>Opportunity to work on technically challenging deep excavation and shoring projects in Metro Vancouver.</li><li>Long-term career growth and mentorship opportunities.</li><li>Collaborative team environment with good work-life balance.</li></ul><p> </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Interested candidates are encouraged to send their resumes in Word document format to .
