Overview
Hillside Centre is a 47-bed tertiary mental health facility in Kamloops, BC, serving adults and older adults with complex psychiatric needs across Interior Health. This rare opportunity offers a diverse, regional scope of practice within an inter-professional team. The role involves comprehensive geriatric psychiatric care, including managing severe neurocognitive disorders, using trauma-informed and palliative approaches, and supporting transitions in care. There are also opportunities for leadership, teaching, research, and integration with acute, community, or long-term care settings. Leadership development opportunities are available through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program.

Hillside Centre provides services to adult and elderly individuals with acute psychiatric illness who cannot be cared for in the psychiatric system within their own community.

Set amid sandstone canyons, rolling grasslands, and evergreen woods is a city of 100,000 with an energetic character. Compensation
Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service. Estimated remuneration: $400,000-$450,000, plus MOCAP level 2.
Benefits and Incentives
Relocation Funding Available: up to $9,000 within BC, $12,000 within Canada, and $15,000 for moves from outside Canada (with receipts). Relocation incentives are subject to change.
