You'll be part of an agile and dynamic workplace where today's solutions are built for tomorrow's challenges.</p><p>The Quality Assurance Inspector in Second Shift plays a pivotal role on the Quality team by inspecting materials, parts, and products, including electronics, motors, castings, machined parts, and assemblies, for conformance to pre-defined specifications. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional departments to facilitate the development of our products and verification of corrective actions.</p><p><br /></p><p>This role is critical in ensuring quality manufacturing, reporting product defects, and contributing ideas to improve efficiency.</p><p><br /></p><p><em>This position is based out of Scarborough, Ontario and the working hours are from 15:30 to 11:30 on regular workdays.</em><br /></p><p><br><br></p><p>Key Accountabilities:</p><ul><li>Conducting incoming quality control of parts and products ensuring their compliance to applicable Engineering drawings, standard and Armstrong specifications.</li><li>Conducting pre-shipment quality control of Armstrong products to ensure the products satisfy the requirements of production orders and ultimately meet and/or exceed customer satisfactions and requirements.</li><li>Inspect experimental parts and prototypes against their applicable engineering drawings and specifications that involve, but not limited to, the use of standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges.</li><li>Releasing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) on found non-conformances in QA spreadsheet and LN10.7 with detailed root causes and effects of given dispositions.</li><li>Maintaining electronic records of all inspection results.</li><li>Performing ad-hoc inspections relevant to customer service warranty issues.</li><li>Attending and participating in daily QA meetings related to non-conformance reports (NCR), their dispositions and Corrective Actions (CAR) reviews.</li><li>Handling and segregating parts and products as required.</li><li>All other duties may be assigned, based on personal skills, abilities and needs.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>What Were Looking For:</p><p>To be considered for this role, you should bring:</p><ul><li>High School Diploma but preferably Engineering Technician Diploma.</li><li>Quality Control experience, education, or diploma is considered as a strong asset.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.</li><li>Strong problem solving and root-cause analysis skills.</li><li>Working experience and basic comprehension of Quality Systems ISO 9001.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with both dimensional and geometric tolerancing (GD&T).</li><li>Strong sense of urgency in a time-sensitive working environment.</li><li>Great team-oriented attitude, while capable of working independently</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication in English</li><li>Understanding and adherence to all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations<br><br></li></ul><p>Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?</p><p>By joining us, youll become part of a global community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of fluid-flow technology.
