It is also the responsibility of the Race Coach to help the Supervisors create and maintain an athlete centered training and race environment by providing quality service in a professional, well-organized and up to date manner. The Race Coach will also assist the Head Coach, Supervisors and Race Administrative Coordinators with all aspects of training and race duties as required.<br /><b>WHAT WILL I BE DOING?</b><br /><ul><li>Provide a safe, fun and personalized race training environment for skill development of our athletes.</li><li>Work with the Manager and Assistant Manager of Race, Race Supervisors and your co-coach to design, implement, evaluate and adjust season-long training and competition plans.</li><li>Engage, motivate and lead your team and athletes.</li><li>Teach by example with frequent demonstrations.</li><li>Be prepared with a plan and maintain an accurate journal of training activities.</li><li>Maintain frequent contact with parents.</li><li>Facilitate team trips to other races and events in the area.</li><li>Promotes Blue Mountain and acts as role model for athletes.</li></ul><br /><b>WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?</b><br /><ul><li>Must hold a minimum ACA-CSC Entry Level Trained / Certified qualification (i.E. Level 1).</li><li>Must hold a minimum Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) Level 1.</li><li>Willing and able to work outdoors in a variety of unpredictable weather conditions.</li><li>Previous race, race coach and/or ski instructing experience considered an asset.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent customer services skills.</li><li>Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) from Christmas through March Break.</li><li>Successful applicants (18yrs of age+) are required to provide a Criminal Background Check (Vulnerable Sector Search).</li></ul><br /><b>AUTHENTICITY | EMPOWERMENT | COLLABORATION | PURPOSE</b><br /><b>BLUE MOUNTAIN RESORT COMPANY OVERVIEW</b><br />Blue Mountain Resort is Ontario's largest mountain resort.
