As t<strong>he Registered Nurse</strong>, you&#39;ll provide team leadership, develop care plans, assess unstable residents, and execute various nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatment, and patient transfers.<strong>About the Role</strong><p>As a Registered Nurse at our Inglewood community in West Vancouver, you play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to our residents. Guided by BCCNM standards and Baptist Housing’s ministry values, you provide clinical leadership, support person-centred care planning, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. You act as a role model and ambassador for Baptist Housing, demonstrating servant leadership while supporting residents, families, and colleagues. Inglewood is ideally located near Ambleside Park and Capilano River Regional Park, offering a beautiful and accessible work setting.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with BCCNM standards and organizational policies</li><li>Conduct resident assessments and manage care for residents with complex or unstable health conditions</li><li>Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately</li><li>Lead and support the development and implementation of individualized, person-centred care plans</li><li>Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to team members</li><li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to support quality outcomes</li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and best practice implementation</li><li>Ensure compliance with health, safety, infection control, and risk management protocols</li><li>Model Baptist Housing’s ministry values and servant leadership in all interactions</li></ul><p><strong><em>*Relocation assistance will be provided to successful out of town applicants </em></strong></p><strong>Requirements</strong><ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree</li><li>A member in good standing or eligible for membership with British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)</li><li>Current First Aid Certificate</li><li>Food Safe Certificate</li><li>Experience as a nurse in a long-term care environment, preferably.</li></ul><strong>Lines Available</strong><ul><li><em>F-05 (FTE 1.00)</em></li><li><em>F-06 (FTE 1.00)</em></li><li><em>P-02 (FTE 0.75)</em></li></ul><strong><em>*Casual shift opportunities are available as well</em></strong><p><br /><strong>About You</strong><br />You are the embodiment of dedication and professionalism, a self-starter whose strong work ethic thrives with minimal supervision, consistently achieving both individual and team excellence. You possess a unique skill set that includes assessing functional and cognitive status, managing equipment, and adeptly utilizing office technology. You are also well-versed in pharmacological therapies, the Wellness Model, legal documentation, and the complex intricacies of the healthcare system at various levels. You are competent, compassionate, and have an unwavering commitment to the well-being of those you serve.</p><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong>The Master Collective Compensation detailed in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement encompasses competitive vacation allowances along with extended health and dental benefits, a municipal pension plan, an employee and family assistance program, and opportunities for professional development.
