This position is part-time (approx. 8 - 24 hrs/wk), delivering training on weekends at our Mississauga Warehouse Training Centre, and potentially a weekday if schedule permits. Depending on your range of experience and availability, this role could also include the delivery of our CPO-approved Working at Heights program and other courses.</p><p><br /></p><p>As a Health & Safety Instructor yourkey <span >responsibilitiesare:</span></p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Delivering engaging and informative mobile equipment training (scissor lift and/or forklift) to workers and job seekers</li><li>Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation</li><li>Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training</li><li>Potentially delivering other courses, including Working at Heights training</li><li>Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>The right candidate will have the <span >followingqualifications</span> and experience:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>3+ years experience delivering training (forklift and MEWP preferred, others may be considered an asset)</li><li>Forklift, mobile elevated work platforms and any other mobile equipment operating experience</li><li>Background in construction management and/or material handling industry</li><li>Work experience or certification in occupational health & safety preferred<br /></li><li>Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training</li><li>Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team</li><li>Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills</li><li>Valid Ontarios Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work</li><li>Able to legally work in Canada</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Why A Career At Worksite Is For You</p><p><br /></p><p>We are looking for a great person to join a great team and we offer a work environment that can see you develop your career with an established leader in the industry.
