Security Operator - Bilingual (French and English)

Job Description

<p>We are seeking full time Security Operators - Bilingual (English and French) for our client site. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. </p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Operate security systems, CCTV, intercom, and security-related network systems in the SOC office.</li><li>Remote patrols using CCTV cameras.</li><li>Conduct investigations and review CCTV footage when assigned.</li><li>Monitor CCTV cameras for functionality. Monitor activity on cameras across sites. Reposition camera angles as necessary from the remote controls.</li><li>Monitor and control access control equipment (gates, doors, portals, etc.).</li><li>Advise the Embedded technician or shift Supervisor when there are system malfunctions.</li><li>Respond to security and emergency incidents. Call local authorities when needed and site contacts of the emergency. Respond using our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). </li><li>Assume responsibility for site security operations in the absence of the Site Manager or Shift Supervisor.</li><li>Answering high volumes of intercoms, phone calls, and emails in a timely and professional manner.</li><li>Writing reports for our Security Management System (Technical Reports, Operational reports, and Incident Reports). </li><li>Responding to emails, creating profiles, activating HIDs, activating spare cards, access changes, and all other tasks assigned by the Shift Supervisor.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: </strong></p><ul><li>Bilingual in English and French, strong in both verbal and written.</li><li>Have an Ontario Security License.</li><li>Have a personal vehicle; public transportation is unavailable.</li><li>Ability to work a rotational schedule (days, evenings, and overnights). Shifts can be 8–12 hours in duration.</li><li>Strong observational skills with the ability to detect and respond to security threats.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.</li><li>Proficiency in using security equipment and technology.</li></ul><p> </p><p>#AF-EasternCanada</p><span>Securitas employees come from all walks of life, bringing with them a variety of distinctive skills and perspectives.
