The Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to financial operations, reporting accuracy, and process improvements in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and oversee the work of Staff Accountants to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards
- Lead and support the month-end close process, ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and related reports
- Preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
- Review and document internal controls, support external audit preparation
- Manage operational assets, including tracking, depreciation, and decommissioning activities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient accounting processes and internal controls to enhance workflow and accuracy
- Provide support for ongoing financial reporting in compliance with IFRS
What we need from you:
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, knowledge of US GAAP is a strong asset
- CPA designated or near completion of the program
- Audit firm training is a must
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Excel skills and will the ability to pick up new technology quickly
