They are a modern, high-energy group that is currently expanding and looking for someone who wants to play a key role in their next phase of growth.</p><p>If you are looking for a role that balances technical accounting with leadership in a flexible, hybrid environment, this is a great opportunity to join a very motivated team.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li><strong>Lead Engagements:</strong> Oversee and lead assurance and Notice to Reader (NTR) engagements from start to finish.</li><li><strong>Tax & Financial Prep:</strong> Prepare various types of accounting engagements and handle corporate tax returns alongside financial statements.</li><li><strong>Supervise & Mentor:</strong> Actively manage and support junior staff, providing guidance to help the team succeed.</li><li><strong>Work Independently:</strong> Stay organized and manage your own priorities with minimal daily guidance.</li><li><strong>Collaborate:</strong> Act as a team player who is comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels of the business.</li><li><strong>Client Support:</strong> Handle ad hoc tasks and projects to meet the specific needs of a diverse client base.</li></ul><strong>Requirements</strong><ul><li>A minimum of 2 years of experience within a public accounting environment.</li><li>CPA designation</li><li>Previous experience supervising staff or leading projects is required.</li><li>A solid grasp of auditing procedures (CAS) and accounting guidelines (ASPE).</li><li>Proficient in CaseWare and Excel; experience with iFirm (TaxPrep) or Jazz-it is considered a strong asset.</li><li>Must be able to reliably commute to the Hamilton office or be willing to relocate to the area prior to their start date</li></ul><strong>Benefits</strong><ul><li>A competitive salary</li><li>Enjoy flexible working hours and a hybrid setup</li><li>Comprehensive Life/LTD insurance and a dedicated Health Care Spending Account.</li><li>Access to RRSP and TFSA programs.</li><li>Be part of a youthful, highly motivated team that values a modern approach to accounting.</li></ul><p>If you’re ready to take the next step in your career with a forward-thinking firm, please submit your resume for consideration.
