Senior Art Director

Clever Samurai-part of the 5th business Group of Agencies-is looking for a hands-on Senior Art Director who can turn strategy into standout creative. You’re equal parts thinker and maker, with a passion for concepting big ideas and executing across every channel: from brand to digital, social to video, and beyond.

This role spans across our agency group, including our PR and social media brands, and supports B2B, B2C, and nonprofit clients. You’ll work closely with strategists, writers, designers, and marketers to build campaigns that are not just visually beautiful, but strategically sharp.

What You’ll Do

• Own creative ideation and design execution across omni-channel campaigns
• Translate strategy into breakthrough visuals for digital, social, video, print, and branding
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring integrated marketing programs to life
• Elevate B2B storytelling through smart, compelling design
• Liaise with photographers, editors, and content producers (no vendor management required)
• Build presentations and pitch decks that sell the idea as much as the aesthetic
• Stay on top of trends in design, content, and marketing

What You Bring

• 7-10 years of experience in a creative studio, agency, or in-house team
• Strong conceptual and executional skills, applicable to varied channels and business categories
• Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite and video editing (Premiere, After Effects)
• An outstanding portfolio that shows your conceptual and executional range
• Experience working across brand and performance content
• Clear communication, a collaborative mindset, and unparalleled attention to detail
• Confidence working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders

Bonus Points

• Experience with Figma or similar digital design tools
• Experience with UI/UX and motion design
• Photography and/or videography skills
• Comfort contributing to social-first or PR-integrated creative

This is a Hybrid Role

The person hired for this role is expected to work three days in the office and two days from home. There are times when the person hired will need to be in the office 5 days a week – appropriate notice will be provided.
