Requirements: What you’ll need


Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications:

Leadership & Project Management:

  • PMP certified, 10+ years of overall IT project management experience
  • Project, program and portfolio management, business transformation and process improvement experience on large, complex enterprise systems and products (including COTS, and cloud-based solutions, etc.), experience with multi-ministry governance.
  • Ability to create and maintain a product road map and product backlogs, provide senior technical expertise, project leadership and coordination of activities in the development, implementation and maintenance of large scale IT projects
  • Ability to create and closely manage detailed integrated project plans and have demonstrated experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of project, program and portfolio management methodologies with the capability to apply best practices knowledge to unique and dynamic situations.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT risk management concepts and best practices to identify and assess business and technology risks and issues, assess risks at a detailed level, and develop strategic plans, approaches and recommendations to mitigate
  • Ability to think holistically and horizontally about business problems and opportunities and ensure strategic alignment between cross-functional programs/activities.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to coordinate many tasks simultaneously without losing focus on the priority, and work on multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment and with aggressive timelines.

Relationship Management and Communication:


  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills to lead consultations, resolve issues and obtain buy-in from wide and diversified working groups/stakeholders
  • Ability to manage business stakeholders’ expectations and understand business processes and requirements to ensure project scope, business and technical requirements are clear, and agreed on, by each stakeholder
  • Ability to foster strong senior leadership and executive relationships through broad business and IT governance tables.
  • Ability to produce presentations, dashboards, briefing papers and submissions, business cases and status reports for different types of audiences.
  • Vendor Management experience and skills – ability to build relationships, regular check-in’s and manage expected deliverable timelines to documented SOW
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills

Other Essential Knowledge and Skills:


  • Business transformation/change management knowledge and expertise related to implementing new IT systems and business processes with broad implications.
  • Practical experience supporting strategic IT investment planning decisions, including supporting business case development for new system implementations/enhancements, technical debt reduction initiatives, etc.
  • Strong experience with a wide range of IT systems and technologies, with broad understanding of business processes/functions, technical architectures, components, integration capabilities, deployment environments, and roadmaps.
  • Knowledge of IT industry best practices and trends impacting digital service delivery organizations, including emerging technologies


Must haves:
