What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver portfolio analytics and insights for GRM Caribbean Banking via reports, systems, and processes. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert and Centre of Expertise, driving innovation through various data sources within the Caribbean and the Enterprise. You will focus on ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of information provided, supporting the Director of GRM Analytics, Governance, and Infrastructure with reporting innovation.
What will you do?
- Adhere to established team routines, such as developing standards and administrative processes.
- Support the development of insights, processes, best practices, and new data technology within the GRM team, sharing valuable information with partners across Caribbean Banking.
- Research, develop, and implement emerging analytics technologies and identify business opportunities.
- Analyze risk data, generate reports on portfolio/client information, trends, patterns, demographics, and underwriting metrics.
- Identify risk-related issues and provide recommendations for proper management, measurement, and monitoring.
- Manage and monitor risk exposure for Caribbean Banking.
- Implement mechanisms to ensure information accuracy, integrity, and relevance for decision-makers.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, especially with data analytics and insights.
- Knowledge of advanced programming/coding skills.
- Proficiency in statistical methods, data profiling, cleaning, mining, and analyzing large data sets; ability to present findings to senior leaders.
- Experience with big data modeling and tools such as SAS, WebFocus, Python, Hadoop, Datameer, SQL Server, and Teradata SQL Assistant.
- Advanced skills in data visualization tools, notably Tableau.
Nice-to-have:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent.
