The Senior People & Culture Business Partner will be the on-site P&C lead in Ottawa: a trusted partner to leadership and a visible, accessible resource for employees.<br><br>This is a hands-on role that requires walking the floor, building strong relationships, and delivering practical solutions. Supported fully by the Toronto Head Office team, the SPCBP will focus on recruitment, employee engagement, learning & development, health & safety, and implementing EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) initiatives that drive alignment and accountability.<br><br>If you’re an experienced People & Culture professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-output environments and enjoys being close to the business, this is the role for you.<br><br><b>What You’ll Do</b><br /><b>Business Partnership & Recruitment</b><ul><li>Act as the primary People & Culture partner to local leaders and employees.</li><li>Lead end-to-end recruitment for a range of roles, ensuring timely and effective hiring.</li><li>Support workforce planning and organizational needs in alignment with business goals.</li></ul><b>Learning & Development</b><ul><li>Deliver onboarding and training programs that build employee capability.</li><li>Partner with Head Office to roll out leadership development and L&D initiatives.</li></ul><b>Employee Experience & Engagement</b><ul><li>Build strong relationships by being present and approachable on the floor.</li><li>Support performance management, coaching leaders on effective feedback and accountability.</li><li>Drive employee engagement initiatives to strengthen culture and retention.</li></ul><b>Health & Safety</b><ul><li>Oversee local workplace health & safety programs, ensuring compliance with Ontario legislation.</li><li>Champion a safety-first culture by partnering with operations and delivering training and awareness.</li></ul><b>Policy, Compliance & EOS Implementation</b><ul><li>Implement and reinforce People & Culture policies and practices aligned with Head Office standards.</li><li>Guide leaders and employees through employee relations, compliance, and investigations.</li><li>Play an active role in implementing EOS initiatives such as scorecards, accountability charts, and meeting cadences.</li></ul><br /><b>What You Bring</b><ul><li>5+ years of progressive People & Culture / HR experience, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and safety.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Ontario employment law, HR best practices, and workplace safety requirements.</li><li>Experience with hands-on HR delivery in manufacturing, print, logistics, or similar industries is an asset.</li><li>Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment in a competitive market.</li><li>Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills across all levels of an organization.</li><li>CHRP/CHRL designation (or equivalent) preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with structured operating models (EOS, Lean, or similar) is a strong advantage.</li></ul><br /><b>You’re Likely a Fit If You Are</b><ul><li><b>Visible & Approachable.</b> You thrive on being present, walking the floor, and connecting with people.</li><li><b>Hands-On & Practical.</b> You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and delivering solutions, not just strategies.</li><li><b>People-First.</b> You balance empathy with sound judgment and business needs.</li><li><b>A Builder.</b> You know how to establish programs in recruitment, L&D, and safety that are scalable and effective.</li><li><b>Execution-Driven.</b> You understand the importance of EOS tools and rhythms to create accountability and results.</li></ul><br /><b>About Our Client</b><br />Our client is part of a <b>nationally recognized, founder-led Canadian group in the print and marketing space</b>, serving thousands of businesses and households every year.
