Job Description:
Our client is an organization at the forefront of risk management within Canada’s financial services landscape. They are seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to join their team, supporting the evaluation and oversight of financial risks related to regulated investment entities.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in capital markets, regulatory frameworks, and risk modeling within a highly analytical and confidential environment.
Responsibilities of the Senior Risk Analyst is as follows but not limited to:
Support the development and refinement of internal risk models, with a focus on liquidity and credit risk. Conduct scenario analyses and stress testing to evaluate financial exposures and optimize funding strategies. Collaborate across departments to ensure risk methodologies align with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Contribute to reporting for senior leadership and governance bodies, including the preparation of risk assessments and model documentation. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate complex risk insights in a clear and actionable manner. Assist in ongoing reviews of member firm risk profiles and support fair allocation methodologies. TMGNY
Job Requirements:
Degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline; advanced credentials such as a Master’s, CFA, or FRM are an asset. Minimum 3+ years of experience in risk analysis or financial modeling within the financial services sector. Strong proficiency with analytical tools and programming languages (e.g., Excel, Python, R, or similar). Familiarity with capital adequacy frameworks, fund structures, or risk-based allocation models is preferred. Skilled communicator with the ability to present complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
