<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Senior Systems Engineer – Electric Propulsion<p><strong>Location:</strong> Lindsay, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)<br /><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time<br /><strong>Salary Range:</strong> CAD 165,000 – 210,000 gross/year</p>About the Role<p><strong>A senior-level Systems Engineer – Electric Propulsion is sought to lead the design, integration, and validation of advanced electric propulsion architectures for hybrid eVTOL aircraft.</strong></p><p>This role involves close collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to develop high-performance, safe, and certifiable propulsion systems, including motors, inverters, motor controllers, and power distribution units. You will be a key driver in defining system-level requirements, validating performance, and ensuring certification compliance.</p>Key Responsibilities<ul><li><p>Lead system-level design and integration of electric propulsion units (EPUs), including motors, inverters, and thermal management components</p></li><li><p>Define system and sub-system requirements, interface specifications, and performance targets aligned with vehicle-level needs</p></li><li><p>Support development and verification of motor control algorithms and high-voltage power electronics</p></li><li><p>Analyze and optimize propulsion performance across operational scenarios—hover, transition, and cruise</p></li><li><p>Oversee thermal modeling and cooling strategies in collaboration with thermal and mechanical teams</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with suppliers for component selection, integration, and validation according to aerospace standards</p></li><li><p>Support safety and reliability analyses, including FMEA, FTA, FHA, and contribute to system architecture trade studies</p></li><li><p>Participate in lab-based testing, HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) setups, and ground/flight test campaigns</p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain documentation for system design, requirements traceability, and certification compliance</p></li><li><p>Act as an integral technical contributor and interface between project management and other engineering teams</p></li><li><p>Challenge the status quo and introduce new approaches to improve engineering quality, productivity, and delivery timelines</p></li><li><p>Stay current with developments in electric propulsion, systems engineering, and eVTOL technologies</p></li><li><p>Drive continuous improvement of processes to increase safety, efficiency, and reliability</p></li></ul>Requirements<ul><li><p><strong>7+ years of experience</strong> in aerospace or automotive systems engineering, covering all phases of the product lifecycle</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with electric propulsion systems, high-voltage power electronics, or related disciplines</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with eVTOL certification regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA)</p></li><li><p>Strong systems engineering background and experience with cross-disciplinary integration</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to work in complex, fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills</p></li></ul>What is Offered<ul><li><p>Competitive senior-level compensation</p></li><li><p>No fixed holiday cap</p></li><li><p>Group benefits plan</p></li><li><p>Company stock purchase program</p></li><li><p>Hybrid work options</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to work on cutting-edge eVTOL aerospace projects</p></li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
