<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Senior Systems Engineer<p><strong>Location:</strong> Lindsay, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)<br /><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time<br /><strong>Salary Range:</strong> CAD 165,000 – 210,000 gross/year</p>About the Role<p><strong>A senior-level Systems Engineer is sought to lead aircraft- and system-level engineering activities for next-generation electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) platforms.</strong></p><p>This role plays a critical part in cultivating in-house systems engineering capability and fostering a strong systems culture across engineering teams. You will operate in a complex stakeholder environment with evolving requirements, guiding internal teams to scope, develop, and deliver robust, certifiable solutions.</p><p>Systems Engineers are recognized as the architects of complex products. This position offers the opportunity to shape systems engineering tools, methodologies, and culture on a flagship aerospace program, with strong long-term growth prospects.</p>Key Responsibilities<ul><li><p>Lead first-principles, systems-led development of the hybrid electrical powertrain</p></li><li><p>Promote and embed systems engineering practices across engineering teams</p></li><li><p>Act as a technical integrator between project management and multidisciplinary engineering teams</p></li><li><p>Apply best-practice systems engineering methodologies to support development and business objectives</p></li><li><p>Own and apply relevant standards and specifications (INCOSE, ARP4754A, ARP4761, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Develop safety cases, verification strategies, and risk mitigation plans for the platform</p></li><li><p>Challenge existing approaches and introduce improvements to engineering quality, productivity, and delivery timelines</p></li><li><p>Ensure rigor, resilience, and continuous improvement in design solutions</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, schedule, and budget requirements</p></li><li><p>Stay current with advancements in systems engineering and aerospace technologies</p></li><li><p>Drive continuous improvement of processes to enhance safety and efficiency</p></li><li><p>Serve as a technical leader and role model within the engineering organization</p></li></ul>Requirements<ul><li><p><strong>5+ years of experience</strong> in systems engineering within aerospace or automotive environments</p></li><li><p>Experience across all phases of the product lifecycle</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with systems development and/or test is strongly preferred</p></li><li><p>Strong working knowledge of <strong>ARP4754, ARP4761</strong>, and related systems engineering standards</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with <strong>eVTOL certification frameworks</strong> (TCCA, FAA, EASA)</p></li><li><p>INCOSE-aligned systems engineering knowledge and mindset</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to work effectively in complex, evolving technical environments</p></li></ul>Whats Offered<ul><li><p>Competitive senior-level compensation package</p></li><li><p>No fixed holiday cap</p></li><li><p>Competitive group benefits plan</p></li><li><p>Company stock purchase program</p></li><li><p>Hybrid working options</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to contribute to industry-leading aerospace and eVTOL programs</p></li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
