They operate independently, presenting design concepts to</p><p>stakeholders, offering mentorship to junior designers, and maintaining a strong understanding of</p><p>the technical aspects of UI/UX design. He/she will also be accountable for ensuring the timely</p><p>delivery of projects while upholding design quality and consistency.</p><p>*We are looking for a skilled designer, with the role of Senior, or Lead depending on their experience</p><p>and expertise.</p><p><b>Skills and Experience</b></p><p>● A portfolio showcasing web and mobile application design with a focus on creating</p><p>user-friendly interfaces.</p><p>● At least 3 years of experience designing across multiple platforms (web, mobile, etc.).</p><p>● Proven experience in an applied research setting, integrating user research into product</p><p>designs and practices.</p><p>● Strong ability to articulate design strategies, rationales, and logic, including highlighting</p><p>risks and benefits of design decisions.</p><p>● Expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma and</p><p>UserTesting.com.</p><p>● In-depth knowledge of interaction design theory, visual design principles, and best</p><p>practices.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p>Design Strategy</p><p>● Understand user interface patterns and behaviors to enhance user comprehension and</p><p>improve task efficiency.</p><p>● Use visualizations and interactions to support analytic thinking, particularly when working</p><p>with large datasets.</p><p>● Lead design critiques, ensuring inclusivity in interactions, while providing expert advice</p><p>to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.</p><p>● Facilitate and lead ideation sessions and collaborative work activities to drive creative</p><p>and innovative solutions.</p><p>● Serve as the interaction design subject-matter expert, mentoring other designers and</p><p>guiding the product design team.</p><p>UI/UX Design</p><p>● Apply a thorough understanding of interaction design theory, visual design principles,</p><p>and research data to inform and guide design decisions.</p><p>● Create low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and</p><p>validate ideas.</p><p>● Develop detailed prototypes with clear specifications for development teams to execute.</p><p>● Present design solutions to senior stakeholders for feedback and approval, ensuring</p><p>alignment with both business goals and user needs.</p><p>Research and Testing</p><p>● Facilitate usability testing sessions to gather actionable feedback and iterate on designs.</p><p>● Lead or participate in research activities to inform design decisions and ensure solutions</p><p>are data-driven.</p><p>● Conduct competitive audits and research, particularly within the financial services sector,</p><p>aligning outcomes with design and business objectives.</p><p>● Perform pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits to ensure design</p><p>consistency and quality across all products.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Nice to Have</b></p><p>● Strong understanding of research methods, including when and how to apply them at</p><p>different phases of the product development cycle.</p><p>● An appreciation for the role of Design Thinking in driving innovation and user-centric</p><p>solutions.</p><p>● Experience working within the financial services sector or with data-heavy applications.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Why Fintex?</b></p><p>At Fintex, you aren’t just another cog in the wheel.
