Senior UX/Product DesignerExciting opportunity in the insurance industry for a senior digital designer on a 6-month hybrid contract, with potential for permanence. Shape innovative web and mobile user experiences for a new wealth management app.

Collaborate across functions, lead design strategies, and work with the latest design tools and accessibility standards.What is in it for you:• Salaried: $50-59 per hour.• Incorporated Business Rate: $60-70 per hour.• 6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.• Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.• Hybrid work: in-office Tuesday to Thursday.• Opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional environment.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities:• Design B2B web experiences and native applications for desktop, tablet, and mobile.• Lead user-centered design processes, aligning solutions with user needs, business goals, and accessibility standards.• Conduct user research and develop personas, journey maps, and service blueprints to inform product strategy.• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders across marketing, technology, and distribution.• Deliver and coach the creation of high-quality design artifacts (e.g., wireframes, flow diagrams).• Synthesize and present user testing insights to guide design refinements.• Apply a design system to ensure consistency in visual and interactive elements; audit adherence regularly.• Drive initiatives that elevate product design quality and impact.• Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and innovative practices to enhance user experience.What you will need to succeed:• Bachelor’s degree in design, visual communications, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related field, or equivalent industry experience.• 8+ years of product design experience, ideally in financial services.• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.• Strong understanding of UX principles and human-centered design.• Demonstrated experience with accessibility standards, including WCAG and AODA.• Familiarity with web standards (W3C and Section 508).• Experience working with design systems and tools (Figma, Mural, UserTesting.com); experience with Adobe Platforms is an asset.• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end digital product design process and outcomes.• Familiarity with technical constraints for desktop and mobile design (Android/iOS).• Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.• Experience working in agile, iterative development environments.• Excellent critical thinking, time management, and persuasive communication skills.• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities within cross-functional teams.Why Recruit Action?Recruit Action (agency permit: AP-2504511) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
