This is an on-site role based in Langley, BC, with frequent domestic and international travel requirements, best suited to a talented electromechanical technician with strong troubleshooting, commissioning, and service skills. Are you a customer-focused technician looking for a new adventure?</p><p>Apply today, we can’t wait to meet you!</p><p></p><p><strong>What are the perks?</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Interesting and often fun work, with opportunities to travel around the globe!</li><li>Competitive salary between $70-80,000 annually depending on experience and credentials</li><li>Ongoing opportunities for growth and professional development</li><li>Excellent leadership, valuable training, and a great team!</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>What are the Responsibilities?</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Post-sales support, including client follow-up and training</li><li>Identify issues in the field and resolve them; look for areas of improvement; bring forward ideas or solutions</li><li>Write service reports and commissioning checklists upon trip completion</li><li>Test equipment after assembly; follow FAT (factory acceptance test) steps; bring forward any concerns and ensure corrections</li><li>Create procedures, instructions, reports, training information which may include manuals, PowerPoint, and videos</li><li>Act as a content expert for Technical Writing department; support the development of manuals, procedures and documentation</li><li>Follow-up on action items identified during commissioning or service trips</li><li>(Future) Assist with Falcon SB bowl refurbishment program; generate reports for the Parts Team, help coordinate and remotely support wo processes</li><li>Assist with larger projects including assembly, teardown and coordination; lead and direct a third-party vendor to fabricate and assemble company equipment</li><li>Assist with shop assembly when resources require it; this may be-in Langley, Montreal, or at an international vendor</li><li>Assist QA department with quality inspections</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Essential Skills & Capabilities:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Good mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitude; follows company&#39;s or client&#39;s safety protocols; best practices; follows procedures; ability to follow directions; continued growth and development</li><li>Experience with equipment commissioning and service</li><li>Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting machinery both mechanically and electrically</li><li>Able to read, follow, and understand mechanical (assembly) and electrical drawings</li><li>Clear communication with clients and peers on equipment installation, operation, maintenance, and repair</li><li>Understand how to see a job through and adjust your schedule to suit the task at hand</li><li>Demonstrates personal leadership; looks to develop and stays up to date with required training including but not limited to MSHA, WHMIS, electrical safety, mineral processing, automation</li><li>Use and understand various Automation software; be able to clearly understand directions if being instructed on a program change</li><li>Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat or other PDF editors</li><li>Hold a valid Canadian passport and maintain good standing (or a strong international passport with no travel restrictions)</li><li>When working onsite, able to match client hours which may require working 10-12 hour shifts</li><li>Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally on short notice and up to 50% of the time - MUST hold a Canadian or other equally strong passport with no travel restrictions. </li><li>Confident in making decisions, some of which may not be well received; diplomatic approach to ensure work gets done</li><li>Well organized and able to prioritize activities</li><li>Self-starter, proactive and motivated</li><li>Ability to deliver under pressure or in uncomfortable conditions</li><li>Must be dependable, trustworthy, accountable; owns mistakes and learns from them</li></ul><p>Bonus points for:</p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Millwright (apprentice program) or Mechanical <span >Technologist/Engineer</span></li><li>Electrician (apprentice program) or Electrical <span >Technologist/Engineer</span></li><li>Mineral processing or mining experience</li><li>Multiple languages</li></ul><p></p><p>Does this sound like you?
