<p><h3>Overview</h3><p><b>Equation Staffing is currently seeking a Shift Lead for a client of ours located in Calgary, AB.</b> This position will support the Production Supervisor by overseeing daily pallet repair operations and ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. The Shift Lead will provide hands-on leadership, supervise repair associates, assign tasks, and help drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead, train, and supervise pallet repair associates during assigned shifts.</li><li>Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure production targets are achieved.</li><li>Inspect repaired pallets and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.</li><li>Identify and resolve complex repair issues while providing technical guidance and support.</li><li>Follow and enforce all safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE.</li><li>Document repair activities including quality, time, materials, and issues.</li><li>Monitor and maintain inventory levels of repair materials and supplies.</li><li>Coordinate with other departments to support operational efficiency.</li><li>Implement process improvements to reduce waste and enhance productivity.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Leadership Team.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Strong leadership and supervisory experience.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Knowledge of pallet repair processes, tools, and equipment preferred.</li><li>Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment considered an asset.</li><li>Basic math and record-keeping skills required.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.</li></ul><h3>Work Environment & Physical Requirements</h3><ul><li>Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 85 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.</li><li>Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift.</li><li>Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive use of power tools (nail guns, hammers, saws).</li><li>Strong visual attention to inspect pallets and perform precise repair work.</li><li>Occasional climbing, balancing, and working on uneven surfaces.</li><li>Exposure to seasonal temperature changes, dust, loud noise (hearing protection provided), and moving equipment including conveyors and forklifts.</li></ul><h3>Work Location</h3><ul><li>Foothills Industrial area, Calgary.</li><li>Assembly-based pallet repair and manufacturing facility.</li><li>Fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.</li></ul></p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
