The Role
Tactable is seeking a strategic, technically-savvy Solutions Architect to bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution. In this high-impact role, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across product, sales, engineering, and customers to design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that drive long-term value.
We’re looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a player-coach capacity-someone who contributes directly to key initiatives while mentoring and guiding a high-performing team. You’ll balance individual execution with team leadership, staying close to the technical work while shaping strategy, processes, and culture.

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Design end-to-end architectures that align with business goals, technical standards, and long-term strategy.
- Present proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients.
- Lead technical discovery and design sessions; develop diagrams, documentation, and proofs of concept (POCs) as needed.
- Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and performance-optimized across environments (cloud, on-prem, or hybrid).
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovations to improve solutions and service delivery.
- Support post-sales technical enablement and ensure successful solution hand-off to delivery teams.
Required Core Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or technical consulting.
- Proven track record designing and implementing complex solutions at scale.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), APIs, microservices, and system integration.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments, security best practices, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills-you can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in agile teams and customer-facing roles is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- You must be located in Toronto and eligible to work in Canada to be considered for this role

- Experience in industry, e.g., fintech, healthcare, SaaS, etc.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or similar
