About The Role

We’re looking for a Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise customer implementations, complex system migrations, EDI and system integrations, and custom product work-streams. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Customer Delivery, translating customer needs into scalable platform solutions that drive long-term success.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on our largest and most strategic accounts. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in transportation, logistics, or supply chain systems, either from prior roles at a transportation technology vendor or from technical delivery roles inside a transportation or 3PL organization.

Who You Are

You’re a technically sophisticated, implementation-minded leader who understands both the strategic complexity of freight and the technical depth of SaaS delivery. You’re comfortable owning the full lifecycle of a customer’s technical solution — from discovery through configuration, migration, integration, and custom development — and you’re energized by working cross-functionally to drive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end technical design for new enterprise implementations.
  • Analyze legacy transportation systems and develop migration strategies.
  • Lead data mapping, transformation, validation, and cutover activities.
  • Document full solution architectures and implementation plans for internal and customer alignment.

Product Configuration & Workflow Design

  • Configure the platform to align with complex transportation workflows and operational requirements.
  • Design and implement custom workflows, business rules, permissions, integrations, and reports.
  • Conduct configuration workshops with stakeholders to capture requirements and validate design decisions.
  • Develop reusable configuration assets and contribute to internal best practices documentation.

Custom Development & Integration Ownership

  • Identify where custom features, integrations, or extensions are required to meet customer needs.
  • Lead technical scoping, draft functional specifications, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure delivery.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for all custom development cycles, including APIs, UI features, and backend processes.
  • Own the EDI work-stream including partner onboarding, testing, validation, and ongoing support.

Cross-Functional Solution Alignment

  • Work closely with Product Managers to align implementation learnings with roadmap priorities.
  • Provide structured feedback loops to Engineering based on field experience.
  • Promote architectural consistency and implementation standardization across projects.

Stakeholder & Project Leadership

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer stakeholders, guiding trade-offs and design decisions.
  • Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences with clarity.
  • Partner with Support to ensure project success from kickoff through go-live and beyond.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, or enterprise SaaS implementation delivery.
  • Direct experience in the transportation, supply chain, logistics, or ERP domains — either from a SaaS vendor or a technical role within a freight or 3PL organization.
  • Proven track record leading complex system implementations, including system migrations, EDI integrations, and custom development delivery.
  • Experience building and validating API requests.
  • Strong grasp of modern SaaS platform design, multi-tenant constraints, and scalable configuration best practices.
  • Deep understanding of data mapping, transformation, and integration frameworks (e.g., APIs, middleware, ETL pipelines).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes work-streams simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with or implementing a Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Background in legacy system modernization or large-scale digital transformation.
  • Familiarity with modern integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato).
  • Familiarity with Zapier (or related automation tools)
  • Hands-on experience with EDI formats and protocols (e.g., X12, EDIFACT, AS2).
  • Experience in Agile / SCRUM environments and cross-functional delivery teams.
