You will execute the regulatory affairs strategy for your respective categories and geographical area using your technical and regulatory expertise. You will ensure compliance with regulations and policies for our portfolio, and that policies, regulatory programs, and requirements are met.
How You Will Contribute
You will implement the regulatory affairs strategy, work with cross-functional teams to anticipate regulatory risks and opportunities, and provide expertise on technical regulatory developments. You will ensure ingredients, product composition, claims, and labelling comply with regulations and company policies. You will also guide stakeholders on regulatory matters, propose solutions to regulatory changes, and stay informed on regulatory, scientific, and nutritional risks and opportunities in your market.
What You Will Bring
- Experience in regulatory affairs, including industry, government, or association backgrounds.
- Understanding of the regulatory framework in your geographical area.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Skills in technical assessments and issues management.
- Creative thinking and effective communication skills.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of SARA core topics (e.g., flavors, additives, GMO, organic, dietary or religious suitability).
Additional Position Details
- Support for NA Cakes & Pastries Regulatory Affairs, including leading day-to-day brand RA ownership and supporting business programs related to growth, innovation, renovations, and continuity.
- Manage the C&P portfolio, executing projects autonomously and collaboratively.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for US and Canadian markets, requiring a strong cross-border NA perspective.
- Manage complex labeling requirements, including ingredient review and artwork approval.
- Contribute to NA SARA initiatives and community engagement.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Technical regulatory skills for managing labeling and formula compliance across North America.
- Experience in executing small to mid-scale projects using project management tools.
- Regulatory expertise to support product development, manufacturing, and sales in line with local laws.
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, Food Science, or related scientific discipline.
Job Specific Requirements
- Experience with US FDA and Health Canada food regulations, specifications, and labeling databases.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs.
