<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Sr. Backend Cloud Engineer - TDIR (Remote) at CrowdStrike. We are a global leader in cybersecurity, protecting people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day, and we are looking for a talented engineer to join our Threat Detection and Incident Response (TDIR) team to build secure, reliable, scalable microservices within the Next-gen SIEM product.</p><p>What you’ll do is build and scale Go-based microservices, contribute to end-to-end delivery, collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers, and mentor junior engineers while continuously improving architecture, performance, and user experience.</p><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li>Develop Go-based microservices to support new and existing features that help detect cyber attacks, and create RESTful APIs for customer workflows.</li><li>Own delivery of projects end-to-end, individually and as part of a team, with increasing complexity.</li><li>Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers across product groups to design and implement solutions.</li><li>Mentor junior engineers via pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Re-evaluate features, infrastructure, and services to improve architecture, user experience, performance, latency, or stability.</li><li>Follow engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, logging, monitoring, and resilient architecture patterns.</li><li>Use Kafka for event-driven workflows, Redis for distributed caching, and Cassandra, ElasticSearch, or PostgreSQL for data storage.</li><li>Provide monitoring and operational support for production services owned by the team.</li></ul><h3>What You’ll Need</h3><ul><li>Computer science degree or equivalent experience.</li><li>Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, RESTful patterns, and multithreading; knowledge of software development best practices and a willingness to learn more.</li><li>Proficiency building and scaling services in production using Go, Python, Java, or C#.</li><li>Track record of leading projects and delivering on schedule.</li><li>Passion for customer success and decisions guided by the end user.</li><li>Effective communication across functions and levels.</li><li>Initiative to identify and fix issues without waiting to be assigned.</li></ul><h3>Bonus Points</h3><ul><li>Experience developing Go-based web services for scalable microservices.</li><li>Familiarity with AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Redis, Grafana.</li><li>Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.</li><li>Experience in cybersecurity or intelligence fields.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Remote-friendly and flexible work culture</li><li>Competitive compensation and equity</li><li>Wellness programs, vacation, and holidays</li><li>Paid parental and adoption leaves</li><li>Professional development opportunities</li><li>Employee networks and community groups</li><li>Office amenities where applicable</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunity Employer</h3><p>CrowdStrike is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
