<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>We are seeking an experienced Tax Director to become an integral member of Pernod Ricard North America tax team. The Tax Director will be responsible for a dynamic range of tax matters across domestic and foreign affiliates.</p><p>Reporting to the VP of Tax, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Canadian tax operations. This includes managing all tax compliance, audits and controversies, transfer pricing, planning and advisory support, including providing tax guidance on tax matters. The successful candidate will be part of the Pernod Ricard Global tax team, supporting M&A and divestiture transactions, as well as other strategic initiatives.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Manage all income and non-income tax compliance in accordance with Canadian tax laws and regulations</li><li>Manage the annual tax forecast, quarterly and year-end tax provisions and reporting packages for HQ, including disclosures required for a Canadian publicly listed company</li><li>Monitor international tax attributes, including Foreign Accrual Property Income (FAPI) and surplus accounts</li><li>Oversee direct and indirect tax audits and inquiries; manage relationships with the CRA and external auditors</li><li>Coordinate with external tax advisors and review their work deliverables</li><li>Stay current on tax legislation and developments; assess impact and ensure timely, appropriate responses</li><li>Prepare technical tax memoranda and ensure appropriate documentation to support return positions and transactions</li><li>Conduct tax research and support tax planning initiatives and special projects</li><li>Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and ensure high-quality output</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Treasury, Finance & Accounting teams as well as with foreign affiliates</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>In-depth knowledge of Canadian corporate income tax, IFRS tax accounting, indirect taxes, and transfer pricing</li><li>Detail oriented, with ability to provide clear and concise summations</li><li>A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to perform effectively under pressure</li><li>Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant tax experience</li><li>CPA required</li></ul><p>We welcome and encourage applications from individuals from all groups, including Indigenous, women, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, creed, family status, national origin, age, and gender.</p><p>Pernod Ricard and its Canadian Affiliates Corby Spirit and Wine Limited, and Hiram Walker & Sons Ltd. are committed to providing accessible employment practices.
